PhysioFit classes
What are they?
PhysioFit is a new type of exercise and learning class, designed by Cranfold and led by experienced Chartered Physiotherapists. It is tailored to your specific needs. Each class is especially designed to support different types of condition – so whether you have a knee replacement, or suffer with back pain – we have a class to help you.
The class will be part learning-part doing. Your physio will discuss issues raised by the group, teach you more about your condition and give tips on how to manage it optimally. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experiences with others who have had similar problems.
You will get stronger and more flexible through the exercise programme, being guided by your experienced physio. As everyone is different, you will be able to go at your own pace and be sure that you are moving safely and optimally to get the most benefit.
How are they different to other exercise classes?
The classes are a mixture of exercise and learning. Before joining, you will be given a medical questionnaire and may have a chat with your Chartered Physio prior to starting your first class. This allows them to establish your individual concerns, medical history, and aims. Your physio will then use this knowledge and their expertise to individualise the exercises in the class to suit your own needs. This ensures that the exercises you will do are not only safe for your condition, but will lead to maximum benefit for you. Everyone is different. It’s like having your own physio on tap, but also being amongst others who have had similar experiences and can support each other with the knowledge that only those who have “been there” can have.
Where are they?
Physio-Fit is exclusive to Cranfold Physical Therapy Centre and classes are held in our spacious purpose designed studios in Cranleigh.

Many of our physios are spinal specialists. Current research promotes the benefit of Pilates in reducing recurrences of Back and Neck pain by addressing core weakness and improving posture. Our physios are APPI* trained in Pilates, and tailor mat based exercises to your specific needs, ensuring your safety and improvement. Classes are kept to a maximum of 8 to allow for adequate supervision by the physio for each person. This one hour class involves gentle controlled exercises in standing, kneeling and lying.
